Beginning in October 2007 the temple and its members have begun a 10,000 Odaimoku Shakyo effort. Sheets of hand copied Odaimoku are being created by members. These sheets will be collected and permanently enshrined in the base of the main altar in the Hondo. We are dedicating these Odaimoku to the spread of the Dharma in the Carolinas and the world. We pray that all people attain enlightenment. We will continue collecting Odaimoku with our long term aim of completing 1,000,000.
If you would like to submit Odaimoku please use the link below to download a sheet of 10 Odaimoku. Please use only this image to copy your Odaimoku. At the completion of each of the 10,000 goals they will be bundled up and placed in the base of the altar.
On the back of each sheet please sign your name, then print your name and date the sheet.
If you would like you may also download some basic Shakyo instructions. It is strongly encouraged that you see your minister for more formal instruction into Shakyo and Shabutsu. These instructions are only meant to be informal. Please also keep in mind that there is no deadline on this effort. We want everyone to be mindful of their practice and with their whole heart dedicate this practice to spreading the Dharma.
